Values

In 1899 Ernest Fishpool borrowed £85 to set up his first shop. Several decades and many changes later, we are now the largest quality furniture store in the south east of England. Fourth generation Simon Fishpool the current managing director, is committed to innovation in all areas of the business and strives to constantly provide the highest levels of quality, value and service.

We appreciate we would be nothing without our customers, many of whom have shopped with us for years and whom we regularly reward with exclusive offers and promotions.

Our dedication to traditional values like quality, ethical retailing and excellent service doesn’t stop with our product selection. Our ‘Fishpools Charities’ programme represents our commitment to give something back to the people who live and work where we do and we’ve joined forces with two brilliant charities to help us do just that. From helping to connect young people who have been affected by cancer with the support they need, to funding free life-saving Helicopter Emergency Medical Service with the Herts Air Ambulance, these partnerships give us the chance to make a contribution where it really counts.

TEENS UNITE FIGHTING CANCER

Broxbourne based charity Teens Unite Fighting Cancer is dedicated to improving the lives of young people aged 13-24, with cancer and other life limiting illnesses. The charity runs regular fun days out such as concerts, football matches, and art and beauty workshops. Teens Unite provides ongoing long term support for teens whether they are undergoing treatment or in remission.

The charity has also recently opened the first specialist respite care centre for young people aged 13-24 in the UK. Their ‘home with a heart’ is a sanctuary where teens can stay overnight and benefit from an escape from their home and hospital environments. Alongside regular fun days out, Teens Unite also provides many opportunities for teens to gain valuable life and career skills. From internships, to fundraising schemes, to teen organised and run events – they are there to support teens throughout their journey and to help get them to have the confidence to go forward and achieve their goals.

HERTS AIR AMBULANCE

Herts Air Ambulance is a Charity providing a free life-saving Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the critically ill and injured of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

Hertfordshire was one of the few counties left in the UK without its own Air Ambulance and so in April 2007, the Charity launched an appeal to enable the people of Hertfordshire to raise funds for their own life-saving Air Ambulance service. Tasked on average 2-3 times a day, the Herts Air Ambulance is most commonly called out to patients with serious illness or injury caused by such incidents as road traffic accidents, falls from height, heart attacks, stabbings, cardiac arrests and strokes.
